Description

Competing with endogenous L-arginine, Nω-Nitro-L-arginine (CAS 2149-70-4) inhibits nitric oxide synthase activity to suppress tumor perfusion and disrupt endothelial vasodilation in preclinical models.

Application

Nω-Nitro-L-arginine (CAS 2149-70-4) inhibits nitric oxide synthase activity with high specificity, enabling precise quantification of NO release in cytochrome c reduction assays. It blocks nNOS irreversibly. Researchers use it to preincubate swimbladder tissues and pretreat muscle bundles, revealing contractile dynamics modulated by endogenous NO signaling.
